Recommended for use with all Tapersawn and
Handsplit & Resawn Shakes, 18" and 24" long, 1/2", 5/8",
and 3/4" thick, treated or untreated. Type 316 stainless steel nails are
recommended for use withing 15 miles of oceanside applications for the best choice against corrosion and increased holding strength for the life of your new cedar roof. Type 316 is also recommended for use with all Fire Retardant treated shingles and shakes.
These nails are available by the pound and can be shipped with
any shake and shingle order. Each size of shake requires a slightly different
quantity per bundle. Check the list below before confirming the quantity you
will need for your project. Please note that these figures are based on the
average number of shingles in a bundle and the nails in a pound. Requirements do
not vary depending on grade selected or length of exposure used during
application.
